Family Fishing Derby

Introduce your children to a fun tradition; you need only a stick and some string to catch fish at this derby. We provide the bait and a well stocked lake to create a lasting memory to all those who participate. Don’t forget a camera to photograph the award winning smiles your children will have when catching that fish. Prizes are awarded to the smallest fish, largest fish, and most caught in the allotted time. Please register by June 3rd. Please call to register one week prior to event.

First Annual Fireworks Scramble

Help support the annual fireworks display at Pleasant Dale Park District! Flagg Creek Golf Course, Saturday, June 15, Shotgun Start at 4:30 p.m. $50 per player for golf, burgers and hot dogs, and beer. Prizes for Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Hole in One.

Independence Day Celebration

Pleasant Dale Park District will once again host a fantastic family event to celebrate Independence Day 2013 – and the FIREWORKS will be held on July 3. Bring your family and your blanket to Walker Park at dusk to settle in for an annual tradition – our spectacular fireworks display!!!

4th of July Pancake Breakfast

Boy Scout Troop 69, sponsored by St. Helena’s Church, Burr Ridge, will be holding its 14th annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast. The menu includes pancakes (regular, blueberry and gluten free), sausage, scrambled eggs, egg strata, fruit, orange juice, Starbucks coffee and other beverages. There will be raffles, door prizes and a bake sale.

Fishing Lessons

Join resident fisherman George Scukanec, as he guides you through all the aspects of being an expert fisherman. The pond has recently been stocked with new fish, so the chances of you catching something are GREAT! All the fishing tackle, bait and expert advice is included. Please bring fishing pole if you have one
