Extra Innings Kids Day Off

Where: Pleasantdale Elementary School

Cost: $36 res

PARENTS: The kids have a half day. What are you going to do with them until you get home? You don’t want to hear, “I’m bored.” The solution is easy. Send them to Extra Innings. The afternoon will be filled with sports, games, outdoor fun, arts and crafts and maybe a movie. An afternoon snack will be provided. The Extra Innings staff will make sure homework has been started. Pizza lunch is included.

Flower and Garden Show

An incredible array of inspiring floral and garden designs are the headlines at this popular Midwest event that is always the harbinger of spring. From activities for kids, how -to instruction for adults and a marketplace filled with garden tools and must-haves, the Chicago Flower and Garden Show offers realistic tips that every shade of green thumb can learn from, take home and use. Also, take some time to enjoy your lunch at one of Navy Pier’s many restaurants before we return home. Please register by March 4th. Co-op Program with the Hodgkins Park District and Pleasant Dale Park District (Price includes transportation and admission only).

Daddy-Daughter Dance

Dads, Grandpas, Uncles, Brothers, God-Fathers grab your special girl and dance the night away. The night will include an Italian buffet, soft drinks, dessert and candy bar. Then grab your special girl and dance the night away. There will be a photographer on site to capture your special night (for a nominal fee).

Jelly Bean Guess

Stop by Walker Park and take a guess on how many jelly jeans are in the jar. Winner will be notified by March 25th Guessing begins March 1st.

Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Spina Field

Cost: Free

Hop on down to the annual Easter Egg Hunt. The bunny has left eggs filled with candies and goodies. There are 6 golden eggs on the “bunny fields.” If you find the golden egg, please bring your egg to the front desk at Walker Park. Your golden surprise will be waiting for you. When your basket is full, enjoy a cookie and drink. Be sure to dress according to weather conditions. If it is raining, the event will be canceled and not rescheduled.
